Mithrandir Farm is nestled on 75 acres of woods in historic Saratoga Springs, New York. It is maintained by Eileen and Patrick Gerdes, along with their children - Sydney, Kyra and Nicole.
Mithrandir Farm was born when we finally realized our dream of owning and operating a small farm. We began raising sheep, turkeys, chickens, goats and cattle for meat, milk, wool and eggs in an effort to become more self-sufficient.
Nigerian Dwarf goats quickly won our hearts and are the main focus of the farm. The goats are kind enough to share the farm with horses, a small herd of Dexter cattle, a small flock of sheep, three dogs; including a Maremma livestock guardian, two cats and various poultry.
UPDATE - Yolanda won her Super Genetics designation for her milk production. Not only is she beautiful but she milks and milks...
Gaia won her first ADGA Grand Championship at the NY State Show and her second ADGA Grand Championship at the Saratoga County Fair Open Show. She won an ADGA Reserve Grand Championship at the NY State Show and an ADGA Reserve Grand Championship at the Cobleskill County Fair. Xtra won her first ADGA Grand Championship at the NY State Show. Ironwood won his first ADGA Grand Championship (with us) at the Altamont Buck Show.

Our foundation herd has been built with quality show goats from Dragonfly Farm and Doubletree Farm. We only buy from herds that are tested and found negative for CAE and Johnnes. We test our whole herd annually for CAE and Johnnes and routinely inspect for CL.
We would like to acknowledge and thank Melinda Widmark of Doubletree Farm. Her animals are outstanding and the knowledge she freely shares is priceless and greatly appreciated!
Our goats are dual-registered with ADGA and AGS.
